First and foremost thank you so much for thinking of us and purchasing your day old chicks. We want to make this a pleasant experience for our customers. All orders from Colonial Wattlesburg are subject to the following terms and conditions, if you have any questions please address them before your purchase. There are no exceptions to these terms and conditions, read them carefully to ensure you concur.

Ordering:

Orders may be placed through the Colonial Wattlesburg shopping cart, if you have any special needs you may write them down in the notes section during checkout or you may contact us through email or phone. Please keep in mind this is a functioning farm and allot the appropriate amount of time for us to get back with you. Our township is run by very few hands and more feathers, so please be patient.

Minimum order:

The minimum order is sixteen (16) day old chicks. This is to ensure enough warmth for successful survival during their journey. Eggs are set as orders come in therefore it’s first come first serve and you may be placed on a waiting list.

Chick policy:

Should a feathered settler chick not make the journey, you must provide a picture of them in the box. Two (2) additional chicks of the breed you purchased will be added to your order to help cover any losses.

Order cancellation:

There is a lot of behind the scenes labor included in ensuring the health and wellness of our feathered settlers and their chicks. Therefore any cancellations will forfeit 75% of their purchase. If you need to remove chicks from your order there is a 50% forfeit, no exceptions will be made.

Straight run:

We do not vent sex our chicks and there is no guarantee as to the quantity of male or female chicks in your order. The only exception to this is our auto-sexing breed the Cream Legbar.

Use of our photos and name:
You do NOT have permission to use our photos and/or farm name, Colonial Wattlesburg, for any reason.

Vaccinations and diseases:

All chicks are vaccinated for Marek’s disease. The vaccination is free of charge, however please note that even vaccinated birds may later contract the disease as it is not 100% effective.
Marek’s is very common in backyard flocks. Marek’s is not spread through egg from parent to offspring.
